Tawny Phillips is a London based jeweller. Constantly
inspired by varied influences, she designs and produces handmade
contemporary jewellery collections for men and women as
well as bespoke pieces by commission.
After studying Jewellery Design at Middlesex University, Tawny’s
graduate collection was bought by Donna Karan at
the New Designers Exhibition in London.
Despite the scale and weight of some of Tawny’s pieces
each item is designed with beauty and comfort in mind. By
fusing metals with some of the earth’s most beautiful
natural materials, such as fossilised sharks
teeth and diamonds, Tawny is able to create striking jewellery
with an edge, for both men and women.
Paul Smith commissioned Tawny in 2005. He was working on
a collaboration with Triumph Motorcycles, customising a series
of Triumph Bonneville motorbikes
in his inimitable style. Struck by Tawny’s cutting edge
designs, he asked her to produce an exclusive collection for
men and women, to compliment the Paul Smith Triumph Motorcycles
collaboration. The jewellery collections are now stocked worldwide
in
Paul Smith stores.
